Emily Carr Monument

Life size, the monument will be twenty feet wide at the base and more than forty five feet high. It will be made from a steel superstructure covered in fibre cement. It is planned to sit in the middle of an artificial lake and feature a 'gateway' so viewers can 'enter' the monument. The visual elements will be three dimensional versions of ten different Emily Carr paintings crowned by a Thunderbird.

The back side of the monument will feature forest scenes and a giant family tree of all the sponsors and individuals who have donated their time and/or money to the project. If you wish to donate and support this great project, please click here.
